Purging of the Armed Forces, a Double-edged Sword in the Hands of the Executioners
SMCCDI (Public Statement)
Jan 28, 2004

Few days ago, the reviled and unstable Islamic Republic government executed several commanders and senior officers of their ideological military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), in another futile effort to purge the Armed Forces of their popular elements and to prepare for a final confrontation with an irate Iranian public.  "Brigadier-General Mohammad-Mehdi Dozdoozani" was one of the founders of IRGC and a hero of the eight-year war with Iraq who, as time progressed, realized the true wicked nature of the Islamic Republic and subsequently sided with the downtrodden people of Iran, becoming a staunch critic.  He and several high-ranking officers were executed solely for the "crime" of criticizing and exposing government officials' corruption and transgressions; involving embezzlements and the heinous practice of exporting destitute young Iranian girls to Arab countries to become sex slaves.  These fearless fighters who in an open letter titled "We the Warriors!" had threatened both factions (the so-called "Reformists" and Conservatives) of the religious oligarchic-fascist government of Islamic Republic with rebellion, wrath, and reaction, went to meet their destinies standing tall and solid with their heads held high; just as they did when they went to defend the homeland against the invading Iraqis. But this time the enemy that killed them was from within; an enemy who has become most unsettled and restless, fearing that those heroes' sense of conscience will spread to the rest of the military and law enforcement personnel and blow the end-game horn for their wretched racket.

It is common knowledge that, since they hijacked power, the Mullahs have been continually and systematically liquidating opposition members, military or otherwise, by various means such as "accidents, incidents, aircraft crashes, mishaps, and etc." They never had to resort to wholesale execution of a well known top commander and several high ranking officers of the very force that was meant and has been given particularly indoctrinated to safeguard their establishment. This is unprecedented and it shows a serious rift and ever-increasing level of dissatisfaction amongst the forces which the Mullahs believe are especially trained to be first and foremost their defenders rather than peoples'.

Oh how wrong they are!

Iranian born and bred members of our armed forces are our nation's cutting swords and defending shields. Without a doubt, sooner or later they will all return to the embrace of their oppressed nation and raise high the flag of opposition, disobedience, and finally national unity and uprising; just as the martyr Brigadier-General Mohammad-Mehdi Dozdoozani did. The increasing instances of insubordinations and reactions among them during the recent years are the clearest testaments to that.

The "Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iran" (SMCCDI), as they reiterate the important fact that our Iranian born and bred members of armed forces (not the paid foreign mercenaries who are hired and imported by the mullahs and wear our armed forces uniforms!) are our nation's cutting swords and defending shields, hereby extend with deepest sorrow their condolences to the honorable families of BG Dozdoozani and the rest of the martyrs, the noble and freedom loving nation of Iran, and last but not least, to all the valiant warriors of our homeland.

This committee, as it extends its sincerest gratitude and highest appreciation for the sacrifices that our defenders made during the Eight year war with Iraq, and as it strongly condemns the recent executions of our service members, believing that murder and purging of our brothers at arms is a double edged sword that will only hasten coming of the day when it will finally cut hands of the ruling turbaned executioners off of Iran and Iranian's destinies, requests that our brothers in the armed forces, vigilantly and as soon as possible, identify the anti-popular elements and foreign mercenaries within their ranks (those who have committed such crimes as the massacres in Islam shahr, Abadan, Babak shahr, and Khatoon abad.) and prepare themselves in action ready groups for the final day of embracement with the enslaved and oppressed nation of Iran.

Be it that the union of the armed forces with the nation brings about the destruction of the totality of the religious-fascist Islamic Republic system and emplaces a responsible and popular structure!

Long live freedom!
Long live secularism!
Established be democracy!
