Heroic Nation of Iran:
History will never forget your Epic of Friday the 20th of Mehr [October 12, 2001]- the day you displayed your unity and interdependence in celebrating the national football [soccer] team's victory.
Praise to your will and resolution that converts every opportunity into a great epic. Boundless hails to the freemen and free-women who have not abstained from any sacrifice and selflessness in order to break the silence of oppression
Nation of Iran, be aware that the morning of victory is near [as] your justice-demanding cries make the tower of injustice quiver. Do not sit [idle], and know that the only way to become liberated from dictatorship and despotism is [through] your united presence in the theatre of struggle.
The order of a government that does not place the least [bit of] value upon the vote and wants of its nation, considers their demands to be nothing, and adds to its own illegitimate existence by suppressing and chaining the freedom seekers- there has not been and there will not be any way other than uprising and disobedience against it.
Popular uprisings gain more widespread dimensions daily, and the nation's struggle is going out of the framework of the government [to] return to its original place: among the masses.
Nation of Iran, with patience and forbearance you tolerated the era of reforms and you gave this opportunity to the corrupt rulers of [our] time to reform themselves.
However, pity that power and wealth have blinded the eyes of the [material-] world-worshipping priests so much that they are no longer able to see the truth.
In their useless thoughts, they have perceived that by giving empty promises they can fool alert people. However, they are ignorant [of the fact] that they have lost their valuable opportunities one after another, and today they must witness the revolt of the rising masses.
The cultured people of Iran are no less than other free nations and want nothing but their own national sovereignty and power to choose their own destiny.
The people of Iran want real freedom and democracy; and they are worthy of reaching their lofty station, and setting aside the dictators and despots who stand in their way.
Valiant People of Iran:
Now, both ruling factions are terrified of your Civil Disobedience, which has appeared in the football [soccer] celebrations; and, they intend to prevent your demonstrations after Sunday's game with the most severe and suppressive security considerations.
They are so terrified of your uprising that they fear- as in the past- they will not be able to subjugate the young freedom-loving people.
They have understood very well that they do not have the power to face your uprooting wave. With widespread propaganda, they try to scare you and belittle your uprisings. But, they are unaware that- today more than ever- the people of Iran are [absolutely] dedicated to revive their lost hopes and, to this end, they will not spare any effort.
People and [especially] the young generation of Iran:
Your every move in the direction of Iran's freedom will affect everyone's destiny and [to this end] there is no way [left] other than disobedience in the framework of civil guidelines.
This is a holy struggle you have started and soon you will see its results.
Your demonstrations and slogans, and even your celebrations and dances are carrying a message that is not hidden from anyone: That today the rightfulness of the Iranian people against the naked dictatorship of the Islamic Republic regime is clear to everyone, and this is at a time that the people of the world have united to destroy the layout of terrorism and despotism, and this is the place where your freedom-loving cries should unite with the world's societies to echo throughout the world.
The Nation of Iran, united and solid, beyond both ruling factions and as the "Third Force" is- again- going to create a historical Epic on Sunday the 29th of Mehr [October 21, 2001].
With their packed lines, with one voice and one mind, [they] will announce another big No in the celebration of their champions to the rulers of oppression and tyranny, and announce its release from the system of violence and dictatorship.
Along these lines, we have seen it necessary to bring several points to the presence of the great Iranian nation:
- While your right to defend yourselves is reserved, do the utmost to abstain from clashing with military forces and the police, and avoid damaging public property.
- In order to show your power and authority- by forming packed lines and with the utmost calm - sing the Iranian national anthem and announce your rightful demands with freedom-loving slogans- especially, [slogans for] the release of political prisoners and the performance of a referendum.
- Support the frail and the children. Prevent the arrest of [your] country-folks by gathering around the armed forces.
The secret to your victory and success is in your unity at stating your demands and slogans.
Let us all come together in celebrating the victory of the national football [soccer] team of Iran, and let us convert this celebration to the grand celebration of Iran's liberty. Let us hope for that joyous day that under a national government, we turn Iran into [one of the gardens of Paradise].
